A Conversation with John Sazaklis, author of many, MANY books, but most recently Marvel: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know and The Lazarus Plan (You Choose Stories: Batman), Sept. 15, 2016
Have you heard about the newest super hero? His power, though somewhat odd, is one I often wish I had: The ability to go without sleep for days at a time. Oh, and his name is No Need To Sleep Man or NNTSM for short.
His secret identity is that of the mild mannered author and comic book aficionado, John Sazaklis. Unlike Batman, who doesn’t need much sleep either, being that he’s the fancy billionaire, playboy Bruce Wayne by day and the cowled crime fighting Batman by night, John puts his super power to work as a writer. How else can you explain his 27 pages of titles on Amazon. Yes, that’s 27 pages, not 27 titles. Mind you some of them are repeats and different formats but still…27 PAGES is 27 PAGES and no matter how you cut it that’s a lot of books…and not much sleep.
Okay, he also does a book signing every now and then. In fact he’s going to be at The Astoria Bookshop on Saturday, September 17 from 3 to 4 pm to sign copies of Marvel Absolutely Everything You Need to Know. The Astoria bookshop is located at 31-29 31st Street in Astoria. Phone: (718) 278-2665.
While there see if you can sneak a peek and see if he’s got his costume on under his street clothes. Here’s a hint: Look for the big, bold letters “N S“ (No Sleep) stitched in midnight blue across his pajama—I mean costume—top.
Please tune in tonight at 7pm to my radio program Graffiti to listen to my conversation with John on Hellenic Public Radio, WNYE, 91.5 fm. Or listen on-line at the HPR website. You can also find us on TuneIn on your smart device.

This is enough. I could just continue adding more and more things for you to click on but these should keep you busy for awhile.
REMEMBER: I’ll be doing a fundraiser (with Susan Cossette Eng and Neddy Smith) for GraceWorks on Tuesday, September 27, at 7:30 pm at Curley’s Diner (run by some lovely Greek ladies) in Stamford, CT.
