A Conversation with Dean Kostos, author of “Rivering”, September 6, 2012
I always think of the fall as the beginning of the year when it comes to “Graffiti”. I did my first “Graffiti” in the fall of 1992. Twenty years ago! Nearly a third of my time on this planet. WOW!
You’d think after all this time that nothing would get me nervous; but it feels like it’s been months since I did a live show. In fact it has been MONTHS. The last few new shows I did were pre-recorded so this is the first LIVE program since May.
Having Dean on will make the transition back easier. We’ve done a number of programs—the last was just over four years ago when Pomegranate Seeds: An Anthology of Greek-American Poetry was released. Now he’s back to talk about his new collection of poems entitled RIVERING.
Tomorrow night, Friday, September 7, Dean will officially launch his new book with a Book Party and Signing event at the Teachers and Writers Collaborative located at 520 Eighth Avenue, Suite 2020. It runs from 6 to 8pm. Bring photo ID with you. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ID’s ARE CHECKED AT THE DOOR.
